Desde Kunyaq Vienes - original walina melody on charango - V2
VERY SPECIAL CONTENT, one of a kind. This is music notation of the original walina, the melody of "Kunyaq", prepared as a way to hear how it was composed by Don Juan Rojas of the Community of San Pedro de Casta.
Maestro Kike Pinto and I have prepared this material in a collaborative effort. A way to document the actual walina melody that was sung by the community in the Champería, clearing out the waterways of the town high up in the Andes.
On this sheet music there is also a TAB adapted for playing it on charango. (2 pages)
A unique offering, as walinas are traditionally sung without instrumental accompaniment.
Enjoy this exploration, and feel free to reach out to Maestro Kike Pinto to book a lesson to learn more about the incredible tradition of the walina songs honoring the water and community : at pinto.kike@gmail.com
